Terms of service
Who you are contracting with
LawrenceWave is a trading name of Lawrence Wave Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 16690732), registered office 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX. "We" and "us" mean that company; "you" means the person holding the account.
What this is — and what it is not
LawrenceWave analyses market structure and publishes forecasts against it. That is information and analysis.
- It is not investment advice and not a personal recommendation. We do not know your circumstances, objectives or risk tolerance, and nothing here takes them into account.
- It is not a guarantee. A forecast is a probability. Some are wrong, which is why we publish how they turned out.
- Trading carries the risk of losing money, including more than you put in on leveraged products. Past performance does not predict future results.
- Decisions you take with this information are yours. If you need advice, take it from someone regulated to give it.
Your account
You need an account to use the service. Keep your sign-in secure, tell us if it is compromised, and do not share it — one account is for one person. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
Subscription, trial and payment
- The subscription is $99 per month, in US dollars, excluding any sales tax or VAT that applies where you are. Any tax due is shown before you pay.
- Every new account gets 14 days free. If you do nothing, the subscription begins at the end of the trial.
- Payment is taken monthly in advance by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see your card details.
- If a payment fails we may suspend access until it succeeds.
- We may change the price. We will tell you before a change affects you, and you can cancel rather than accept it.
Beta access
Beta places are limited to 100 and are granted at our discretion, subject to the experience declared on your application. Beta terms are the first year free, followed by 50% off the standard price for as long as your subscription runs without interruption. Cancelling and returning later starts you on the standard price. The beta discount is attached to your account and cannot be transferred or sold.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time. Your subscription then runs to the end of the period you have already paid for and is not renewed. We do not give partial refunds for unused time, but we would rather refund someone than have them feel badly treated — if something has gone wrong, tell us and we will look at it.
If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of purchase. By starting the service immediately you may lose that right once the service has been provided. CONSUMER_CANCELLATION_WORDING_TO_BE_CONFIRMED.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- republish, resell or redistribute our analysis or forecasts as your own, or as a service to others;
- scrape, mirror or bulk-extract data from the service, or work around its rate limits;
- share one account between several people, or pass credentials on;
- attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service.
We may suspend or end an account that does these things. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first.
Availability
We work to keep the service running and to keep its data current, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. Market data and forecasts may be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable — sometimes because an upstream source is. Do not rely on this service as your only source of information for a trade.
Our liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if you are a consumer.
Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows: we are not liable for trading losses, lost profit, or decisions taken on the basis of our analysis, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. LIABILITY_CAP_TO_BE_CONFIRMED_BY_SOLICITOR.
Ending the agreement
You may close your account at any time. We may end this agreement on reasonable notice, or immediately if you seriously breach these terms. When it ends, your access stops and we keep only what our legal obligations require.
Changes
We may change these terms. If a change materially affects you we will tell you before it takes effect, and continuing to use the service after that means you accept it.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
